#191 ~ Rabid Lamb Comics

That’s right…I could have started an exercise regime that would have eventually led me to swimming in a pool, which eventually could lead me to being a great and powerful swimmer (unlike the out of shape normal swimmer that I am today), or I could just make some brownies.

And now we all understand why I’m not an athelete.  I was always an atheletic kid, and I grew up around sports and probably had a ball in my hand way before I ever had a doll in my hand, but I just never had the drive back then to really become a true athelete, and probably can’t find the drive now…but I really AM inspiried watching these Olympic games and so maybe SOMETHING will rub off on me.

The only thing about swimming that rubs off on me is the smell of chlorine.

And if it makes you feel better, I watched the Olympics while eating a chocolate brownie. With chocolate syrup. And caramel syrup. And Cool Whip.

    And I didn’t give a rip.

Mmmm brownies. Much more tasty than chlorine-laden water. 😀

I was actually on a swim team back in the day and we had to do 200 laps of freestyle in an olympic sized pool before we could leave practice (up and back counted as 1 with turnovers at each end).

I don’t know how I did it but I did, even with all the tears collected in my goggles, and I wasn’t even the last one in the water. Now I can’t even do 20! Pathetic.

TK42ONE: Yeah, the chlorine. I actually love the stuff, as the smell reminds me of being a kid, and well…pools, which I love. But it’s not good for you…or for your hair. My hair was so dry and brittle after being in the pool everyday in Hawaii. They do have these new pools, mostly for “the rich” that are chlorine-free…perhaps the wave of the future?

Your brownie sounds WAY better than mine.

    Paul: Totally.

Heili: Yay! You commented – welcome! Ah youth, how much we don’t treasure it or take advantage when we’ve got it. Even though I DID pass the lifeguard exam when I was 13, I doubt I could have ever done 200 laps freestyle…or any other style for that matter.
