#219 ~ Rabid Lamb Comics

That’s either me losing it in the last panel, or the creation of an awesome new superhero/villain called ‘Broccoli Head’.  Either way, the conversation was rife with hand gestures and big sighs of frustration and ended with at least one person (me) going to bed angry.

The thing is, I get some of it, I mean I don’t agree with any of it, but I at least understand some of it – Adam explained the concept in regards to schools and health care and all sorts of things that made sense (and that I already understood), but I just couldn’t grasp the concept of smaller/no government working when it came to things like getting a road built (or repaired).  He explained it to me at least half a dozen times, and was incredibly patient, but I think part of the problem on the “roads issue” is that Adam doesn’t believe in it either – so neither of us really GETS how it would actually work…because we don’t think it will.

Anyway, it was an incredibly frustrating night and it will be a LONG time before I try to have a conversation like that again.

Equally frustrating is when someone (me) decides to explain a concept that I think fails in real world application. It wasn’t a fun conversation but I’m sorry that it made you mad enough to grow broccoli out of your head. 😉

Don’t apologize, it was frustrating for both of us. And it wasn’t a big deal – there’s just nothing going on in my life, so I have to scramble for potential comic strip ideas… :)

I made it over here from mylifecomics, though I have been keeping up!

I’m sorry I couldn’t help but laugh out loud at “Broccoli Head”, but yes I do understand the severity of such conversations…talking any types of politics has almost always blown up in my face.

I think it’s good that you understand it, because even though you don’t like it or agree with it, at least you can understand it and stand your guard in an argument.

I’m pretty sure if I was in your situation, I’d have broccoli growing out of my head too…no, but really it does look like an explosion, no biggie. :)

Mmm broccoli. Yeah, there are some things in this world I can’t understand either and they make me wanna explode.

Tara: Hey Tara – welcome! Thanks for stopping by – I hope you’ll stay awhile. I’m glad you laughed at Broccoli Head, I’d go for laughs more if it was my skill set – so I’ll take any I can get!
