Already We Have A Problem…

community

…with the TV watching schedule and hopeful early drop outsCommunity was actually really good. One of the better first episodes of a comedy I’ve ever seen.  There were several laugh out loud moments and most of the rest was regular funny and enjoyable.  The cast had really good chemistry.  Like the kind of chemistry you expect from a show that’s in its second or third year.  As predicted Chevy Chase was the least interesting aspect to me but it’s now in the Tivo…so somebody else is going to have to drop out…volunteers?

Conundrum.

I watched the first episode too (hey, it comes on right after The Office and I didn’t feel like moving) and thought it was pretty good actually. The cast is diverse and amusing, especially when they randomly start shouting lines from “The Breakfast Club.” I remarked to Tara that I didn’t find Chevy Chase to be interesting though, but I’ll tune in again.

I know, right? That’s why I watched it. Didn’t want to move and felt obligated to check out one episode at least. But it was really funny. And it was pretty diverse…much more so than your average half hour comedy. I mean of course the lead female and male are white because WHAT ELSE ON EARTH WOULD WE DO?! But overall it was a good group – and they had great chemistry. Impressive.

I thought The Office season premiere was pretty good too.

I’ll agree that this show was surprisingly good. The only show not on my “list” that I’d be willing to watch again. But man is that “list” long. How will I ever find time to eat?

TK42ONE: What else is on your list?

It’s more like what is NOT on my list. Since I tossed my list, I guess I’ll have to make a new one. I’ll keep you in suspense while I write it up!
