Regarding that New Deadwardians, I think the expression on everyone's face is appropriate given that the dude in the chair is getting his junk stepped on. I'm not the only one who sees that, right?

Also, Brett Booth draws dinosaurs so much better than he draws human beings, it makes me wonder if he's an unfrozen caveman comic artist.

I was all excited about a Huntress/Power Girl book by Levitz with Perez & Maguire rotating art duties...but the costume design is starting to worry me. especially since PG is shrinking. I like her as the powerhouse. (This isn't about bust size; I liked it when PG was taller, sturdier, and didn't have standard female super-hero proportions.) I'm equally concerned that they're going to give a significantly less brash & badass personality in this iteration. The costume design is disappointing, but that's never been a Perez strong suit, IMHO. Maybe they'll let Maguire tweak it?

Totally with you on the Action comics black superman, but I have to say that I actually like that Firestorm cover. It's a little busy, but it has that sense of fun that I expect from Gail Simone and that I've been missing since the reboot.

Also, not to be a huge dick, but did you ever do these for Marvel last month? I always enjoy reading them, and I can't recall seeing them at all. They're not showing up in your tags, either.

I wouldn't exactly say Liefeld is phoning it in.

Tweeting it would be more his speed.

wait wait, i got it, that Justice League cover! the Justice League create a comic about themselves, maybe an anthology where each character draws a story about another team member, or maybe Flash draws the whole thing because he's so fast and can meet the deadline. and it's about how they're disbanding the team hence the "RIP" title. i would totally read a comic about the heroes drawing a comic about themselves.

Wait, wait, wait. Hold on one second. You're always going on about sucky anatomy and yet you say absolutely nothing about Powergirls freakishly tiny and disproportionate midget arms? Seriously? SERIOUSLY?!?!?!

I'm not particularly thrilled with the gauntlets, but I do like the boots.

But seriously, is that costume any worse than any of these?

Honestly, when you compare it to the costumes she has previously worn, I think this one is actually the best looking of the lot.

What I like "most" about that Deathstroke cover: There's the teeny-tiny head, nonsensical muscles and stumpy legs, incompetently drawn sword AND gun, pouches and pouches in exchange for anything resembling actually posible posing or anatomy, and a 100% feet free cover. And yet the "artiste" felt it nessecary to add a huge, obtrusive signature. Because NO ONE could have known it was an original Liefeld otherwise.
