So I’m (finally) officially published. Yea! This piece I Hate The French is the first piece I ever submitted (in July of 2006 – why oh why does this stuff take so long!) and it is truly wonderful to see my words in print that doesn’t belong to my home computer.
It IS a pretty great start to the new year. Let’s hope there is much more of this to come. In case you are intersted in supporting a great literary magazine, and of course reading the first stepping stone on what I’m sure will be the wild unabashed success of yours truly (of course, right?), then go here: Pearl #38 and click on order to buy thousands of issues…

Thanks Paul! It is SO slow. I was shocked that it took more than a year for my piece to get published. I submitted I think in April of 2006, heard from them on acceptance in July of 2006 and then here it is published Winter 2008. Whew. Anyway, glad to be in print.
As for the title…trust me, the French woman in question really did earn her hate

Congrats sis. I will order a copy presently. Still waiting for the other item by the by.

that would be great…but i certainly wouldn’t expect people to buy copies…
thanks bec – thanks for the support. hopefully there are many more happy acceptances to come. it’s only the beginning…of both rejection AND acceptance.
also…let’s not get crazy now with “all the other no’s” 😉 it’s only 7 so far, and only once for each piece…this was never submitted elsewhere…just setting the record straight
