#108 ~ Rabid Lamb Comics

_108-rabid-lamb-comics-postable.jpg

As childless atheists (that sounds really bad somehow) these kind of holidays just slip on by.  This year I actually did manage to remember and gave Adam some brightly colored chocolate treats (that is what Easter is about right – “Brightly Colored Chocolate Treats…often shaped like cute animals”)? But otherwise it passed without a mention.

We did see The Bad Plus at the Bluenote on Saturday night with some friends and it was, as usual, fantastic.  Standouts were their songs Dirty Blonde and 1980 World Champion (sound familiar?) as well as their brilliant cover of Tears For Fears Everybody Wants to Rule The World.  Great stuff and a really good time with friends I haven’t seen in far too long.

A special shout out to Steve who didn’t want to go to the show and came along anyway.  It wasn’t really his thing, but he gets major points for being a team player and hanging out.

Part of me wants to totally twist the “brightly colored chocolate treats” into something perverted. Maybe I’ve had too much iced-coffee.

And not having kids was a dead giveaway in panel one. 10:00 am? I wish. As to the whole “Easter/religious” part of the day, I could care less. It’s a day to eat ham and green beans. The ham symbolizes Jesus to me because it will rise again in different forms. Ham and potato soup. Ham sandwiches. You get the idea.

TK42ONE: and now you know why i don’t have any children. 10am as viewed from my pillow is AWESOME. i also don’t really like ham, which perhaps explains why i’ve never been too “into” easter.

    Scott: zombie jesus. that’s great.

Mike: and i’d hate him right back if he existed.

Nuts to Steve! He does what his wife tells him.

The show was great, except for that old crone who couldn’t control the volume of her voice. It was good to see you out and about. Rock Band is next! And then the Skunk Brothel!

How do you read a book one-handed like that? My arm would get tired after two to three pages.

jamminjabber: as it should be. as it should be.

shiv: you were totally missed. as good a sport as steve was for coming, it would have been much better to have someone who wanted to be there, instead of someone we hassled until he agreed to come. :)

Paul: It has to be a nice light book – I think that was a nice softcover of short stories…nice and easy on the hand. I probably still didn’t last long that way.

shiv: hooray for shiv! are you feeling better yet?
